Dr. Clay B. Dickinson, Managing Director
Dr. Clay Dickinson is a Managing Director of REH Capital Partners, LLC based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he primarily leads service delivery for the Firm in the Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America region. Dr. Dickinson’s primary focus is on investment, transactional services, project planning, and advisory services within the real estate and hospitality industries. He became associated with REH in 2023 under a contractual arrangement with the Firm. He is also a full-time Professor at Florida International University’s (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, where he leads the real estate concentration of the graduate program, and the Hollo School of Real Estate within the Chapman College of Business.
Dr. Dickinson has over 35 years of diversified and extensive experience with real estate and hospitality related investments, valuations, development, and transactions. Throughout his professional career, Dr. Dickinson has overseen the feasibility analysis, investment and acquisition underwriting, development planning, and market and financial evaluation on more than $10 billion in transactions throughout the US, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
Prior to his association with REH and his faculty position at FIU, Dr. Dickinson was an Executive Managing Director for JLL, leading the firm’s "Hotels & Hospitality" and "Valuation Advisory Services" lines of business in the Caribbean and Latin America region. Prior to that, Dr. Dickinson held various senior positions with leading global companies including KPMG, IBM, EDS and IHG. Dr. Dickinson started his professional career with Laventhol & Horwath in Miami, FL.
Through his association with REH, Dr. Dickinson is reconnected with several of his former KPMG colleagues, including REH’s CEO, Frank Nardozza, with whom he worked extensively during his tenure at KPMG.
Dr. Dickinson earned his Doctor of Business Administration degree in 2022 from Florida International University. Previously, he earned an M.S. degree in The Management of Technology from Georgia Tech and a dual MBA-MIM degree from ESADE/AGSIM in Barcelona, Spain and Phoenix, Arizona. He also earned a dual B.A. degree in International Studies and Latin America Language and Area Studies from the School of International Service (SIS) at The American University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Dickinson is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
